UGREEN CD161 10216 36W Dual USB-A QC 3.0 Charger
A compact legacy-cable charger whose two orange USB-A ports can each provide up to 18W at the same time for a true 36W total.
Overview
UGREEN 10216 / CD161 is a dual-USB-A wall charger built around two independent 18W Quick Charge 3.0 outputs. Each port can negotiate 5V/3A, 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A, and both can deliver up to 18W simultaneously for a true 36W total. It is suited to devices and cables that still use a USB-A charger end. It does not contain USB-C, USB Power Delivery or PPS, so a modern USB-C phone may charge only through a suitable USB-A-to-device cable and within the older protocol set.
Key features

Exact power allocation
| Port 1 alone | Up to 18W: 5V/3A, 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A. |
|---|---|
| Port 2 alone | Up to 18W with the same supported profiles. |
| Both ports together | Up to 18W + 18W = 36W total. |
| Non-QC device | Negotiates a compatible fallback, commonly 5V; the device decides the accepted current. |
| USB-C phone via A-to-C cable | Can receive only a profile supported through USB-A; no PD or PPS session is possible. |
Charging protocols and speed logic
Official UGREEN sources list Quick Charge 3.0 and regional AFC/FCP compatibility for the two USB-A outputs. The fixed voltage/current profiles are 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A. There is no USB Power Delivery, PD 3.0, PD 3.1 or PPS because those modern USB-C negotiation modes are not present on this USB-A-only charger.

Setup and usability guidance
- Read the product label and confirm that the mains-input range, fixed plug and wall socket are compatible before connecting power.
- This regional SKU uses fixed EU 2-pin pins. If the socket does not grip them securely, use a properly rated certified adapter rather than forcing or balancing the charger.
- Connect the charger to a sound, dry wall socket; connect a correctly rated cable to the intended USB output; then connect the device.
- For the highest-power session, begin with the strongest documented USB-C output and one device. Add other devices only after checking the sharing table.
- Unplug by holding the charger body. Do not remove it by pulling a charging cable.
- Connect one known-compatible QC device first and verify its fast-charge indicator before adding the second device.

Travel distinction
Keep the two USB-A ports free of lint and conductive debris. Disconnect mains power before cleaning and never insert metal tools into a receptacle.
What this product does
- Converts 100–240V AC mains power into negotiated low-voltage USB charging outputs for compatible electronics.
- Selects a mutually supported voltage and current with the connected device; there is no manual voltage switch.
- Redistributes a finite total power budget when more than one output is occupied.
- Works without an app, account, driver, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
- Provides a verified simultaneous 18W + 18W arrangement.
What this product does not do
- It is not a voltage converter for AC appliances and it does not create a household AC outlet.
- Its USB connectors are charging outputs, not file-transfer, video, networking or docking ports.
- It cannot force a device to accept a wattage or fast-charge protocol that the device and cable do not support.
- It cannot keep every port at its single-port maximum when several devices share the charger.
- It does not support USB-C PD, PPS or laptop-class charging.
What to do
- Use sound cables rated for the current and power requested by the device.
- Keep the charger uncovered and exposed to air during high-power charging.
- Place the highest-demand device on the strongest documented output.
- Expect a brief charging reset when a connection changes and power is renegotiated.
- Disconnect mains power before cleaning and use only a dry, soft cloth.
- Use two separate sound USB-A cables rather than a multi-headed splitter cable.
What not to do
- Do not use a loose, scorched, cracked, wet or mechanically damaged wall socket, adapter, cable or charger.
- Do not cover the charger with bedding, clothing or other insulating material.
- Do not force EU pins into a socket that does not accept them securely.
- Do not assume connector shape alone proves protocol or wattage compatibility.
- Do not disassemble the housing or continue use after arcing, smoke, odour, deformation or repeated unexplained shutdown.
- Do not assume a USB-A-to-USB-C cable unlocks USB-C Power Delivery.
Warnings and limitations
- The printed wattage is a maximum under defined conditions, not a promise that every device will draw that power.
- Charging normally slows as a battery fills, warms up or applies its own battery-health controls.
- Some warmth is normal at high load. Excessive heat, smell, noise, deformation or cycling requires immediate disconnection.
- This charger is intended for dry indoor use and is not documented as waterproof.
- A plug adapter changes only physical fit; it does not repair a loose socket or create a new charging protocol.
- No USB cable or India plug adapter is listed in the exact package.
Troubleshooting

Plug feels loose
USB-C phone charges slowly
