UGREEN MM102 model 40233 is an active, one-way converter for connecting an HDMI source to a legacy VGA display. It accepts digital video through its attached HDMI male plug, converts it to analogue VGA video through a VGA female socket, and provides a separate 3.5mm analogue audio output. Maximum stated output is 1920 × 1080 at 60Hz. A Micro-USB power input is available for HDMI sources that cannot supply enough operating power.

Map the one-way video, audio and power paths
This active converter has a fixed signal direction and three separate connection paths. Identifying each path before setup prevents the most common no-picture and no-sound problems.
Connect the adapter’s HDMI male plug to the source. Run a VGA male-to-male cable from its VGA female socket to the display or projector. The adapter cannot operate in reverse.
VGA carries no sound. Connect the adapter’s 3.5mm output to powered speakers, headphones or the display’s compatible audio input when audio is required.

Setup and usability guidance
Confirm the source has HDMI output and the display has VGA input. This converter cannot be installed in the reverse direction.
Connect a standard VGA cable from the adapter’s VGA female socket to the display’s VGA input.

Can I connect a VGA laptop to an HDMI television?
No. SKU 40233 works only from an HDMI source to a VGA display. A different active VGA-to-HDMI converter is required for the reverse direction.
Does the VGA connection carry sound?
No. VGA carries picture only. Use the adapter’s separate 3.5mm output and a suitable audio cable for sound.
What is the maximum resolution?
