UGREEN DP131 · 2 Metres · Model 55568 Next-Generation DisplayPort Bandwidth for Gaming and Creation A full-size DisplayPort 2.1 male-to-male cable designed for compatible UHBR20 gaming monitors, graphics cards and professional displays, with up to 80Gbps raw link bandwidth.
2m Length DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 80Gbps Raw Link Rate Up to 16K 60Hz DSC 1.2a HDR Adaptive Sync
A High-Bandwidth Connection Between Your GPU and Monitor The UGREEN DP131 2m DisplayPort 2.1 cable connects a graphics card, desktop computer or other full-size DisplayPort source to a compatible monitor, projector or professional display. Its UHBR20-class connection provides a raw link rate of up to 80Gbps across four DisplayPort lanes. This creates the capacity required for advanced combinations of resolution, refresh rate, colour depth and HDR when the source, display and software configuration support them.
UHBR20 Performance Up to 80Gbps DisplayPort Link Rate DisplayPort UHBR20 operates at up to 20Gbps per lane across four lanes. More efficient 128b/132b encoding provides a maximum usable payload of approximately 77.37Gbps from the 80Gbps raw link rate.
What 80Gbps means: this is the maximum raw DisplayPort link rate, not an ordinary file-transfer or internet speed. The negotiated link speed is limited by the least capable DisplayPort port in the connected system.
Resolution and Refresh Rate From Ultra-High Resolution to High-Refresh Gaming The cable can carry a wide range of display modes. The final resolution and refresh rate depend on the graphics hardware, monitor, DisplayPort capability, DSC support, colour format, colour depth, operating system and selected display settings.
Maximum figures are compatibility ceilings, not simultaneous operating modes. A cable cannot add a resolution or refresh rate that the graphics card or monitor does not support.
Up to 16K at 60Hz with DSC Display Stream Compression 1.2a enables visually lossless compression for extremely demanding display modes. Achieving 16K at 60Hz requires a source and display that support the required resolution, UHBR link, DSC profile, timing and colour configuration.
Gaming Performance Adaptive Refresh-Rate Pass-Through The cable can pass compatible adaptive-sync signals between a suitable graphics card and monitor. This allows the display refresh rate to follow the GPU frame output, helping reduce visible tearing and stutter. AMD FreeSync Can pass supported adaptive-sync signals when both the AMD graphics hardware and monitor implement the required FreeSync mode. NVIDIA G-SYNC Can be used with supported G-SYNC or G-SYNC Compatible display configurations, subject to GPU, monitor and driver support. High Refresh Rates Suitable for monitors that support high-refresh-rate DisplayPort modes for competitive and fast-paced gaming. The cable itself is not a FreeSync or G-SYNC monitor certification. These technologies must be supported and enabled by the graphics card, monitor and driver.
HDR, HDCP and Embedded Audio HDR Pass-Through Carries supported HDR video information when the content, source, graphics hardware, application and display support the selected HDR format. HDCP 2.3 Can carry compatible HDCP content-protection handshakes. Every device in the connection must support the content service’s requirements. DisplayPort Audio Carries supported embedded digital audio to a monitor, display or audio device equipped to receive audio through DisplayPort. The cable does not create HDR, decode protected content or add surround sound. Those capabilities depend on the connected equipment and media.
Important Graphics-Card Compatibility GeForce RTX 5090: NVIDIA specifies DisplayPort 2.1b with UHBR20, enabling the cable’s highest 80Gbps link tier when paired with a compatible monitor. Modes such as 4K 480Hz require DSC and appropriate monitor support. GeForce RTX 4090: the cable is compatible, but the RTX 4090 provides DisplayPort 1.4a rather than UHBR20. The connection therefore operates within the RTX 4090’s DP 1.4a limits. Other NVIDIA, AMD and Intel graphics products may use DP 1.4, UHBR10, UHBR13.5 or UHBR20. Check the exact graphics-card manufacturer specification rather than relying only on the phrase “DisplayPort 2.1.”
Full-Size DisplayPort Latch-Free, Male-to-Male Connection Both ends use full-size DisplayPort male connectors. The latch-free design allows straightforward insertion and removal without pressing a release button. This is a DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cable only. It does not directly fit HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, USB-C or Thunderbolt ports and does not convert between video standards.
Reinforced Construction Aluminium Housings and Braided Protection The DP131 combines aluminium-alloy connector housings with a black nylon-braided outer layer and internal PVC protection. Its 28AWG tinned-copper conductors and multi-layer shielding are designed to help maintain signal integrity and resist surrounding electromagnetic interference. Backwards Compatible with Earlier DisplayPort Equipment The cable can connect devices using earlier DisplayPort versions, including DP 1.4, DP 1.3 and DP 1.2. The connection automatically operates at the highest mode supported by both connected ports.
The comparison artwork is illustrative. Earlier DisplayPort hardware may support additional modes through DSC, depending on the particular GPU and monitor. Always use the connected equipment’s official specification as the final reference.
Suitable Applications Competitive gaming Connect a compatible graphics card to a high-refresh-rate DisplayPort gaming monitor. RTX 50-series systems Use with suitable UHBR20 graphics cards and monitors for advanced DP 2.1 modes. Professional creation Connect high-resolution displays used for graphics, video, animation and visualisation. Desktop workstations Connect full-size DisplayPort outputs to compatible workstation monitors. Earlier DP equipment Use with DP 1.4, DP 1.3 and DP 1.2 equipment within the limitations of those ports. DisplayPort projectors Connect professional projectors that have compatible full-size DisplayPort inputs.
Check Before Ordering Confirm that both devices have full-size DisplayPort connectors. Check the exact DisplayPort link rate supported by the graphics card and monitor. For 16K, 8K or very high refresh rates, confirm DSC compatibility on both devices. Confirm that the monitor supports the required resolution and refresh rate through its DisplayPort input. Measure the cable route and ensure 2 metres provides sufficient length without tension. This cable does not convert DisplayPort to HDMI, USB-C or Mini DisplayPort. PS5 and Xbox consoles use HDMI video outputs and cannot connect directly with this cable.
Recommended Installation Turn off the equipment: where practical, power down the source and display before connecting. Connect either end: this passive cable is non-directional, so either connector can be used at the source or display. Select DisplayPort: choose the connected DP input through the monitor’s input menu. Configure the display: select the required resolution, refresh rate, HDR and colour settings in the operating system or GPU control panel. Enable adaptive sync: activate FreeSync, Adaptive-Sync or G-SYNC Compatible mode when supported. Protect the cable: avoid sharp bends, crushing, excessive pulling or repeated twisting near the connector joint.
