UGREEN 15641 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch (CM633) is a compact, fanless unmanaged switch for extending one router or upstream switch connection to as many as five wired network devices.

Link-rate ceilings and real throughput
Every RJ45 port has a link-rate ceiling of 1Gbps. A device linked at 100Mbps or 10Mbps remains limited to that negotiated rate.
The specified 10Gbps switching capacity represents five full-duplex Gigabit links counted in both directions; it does not mean a single port can transmit at 10Gbps.
Store-and-forward switching checks each received frame before forwarding it. The listed Gigabit forwarding rate is up to 1,488,000 packets per second per port under the manufacturer's test conditions.
All internet traffic still shares the speed of the router, modem, ISP plan and uplink. Adding a switch creates more wired ports; it does not multiply broadband bandwidth.
The 2K MAC-address table records connected network endpoints. It is not a user-managed address book and provides no routing or firewall function.

What the host, cable or radio route must support
For a Gigabit link, both endpoint network interfaces and the intermediate router or switch must support 1000BASE-T.
Use intact Cat5e-or-better Ethernet cables for Gigabit. Damaged plugs, split pairs, two-pair telephone-style wiring or poorly terminated wall runs commonly negotiate only 100Mbps.
Connect one port to a router LAN port or upstream switch, then connect computers, TVs, consoles, access points or other Ethernet clients to the remaining ports.
A loop created by connecting two switch ports back into the same unmanaged network can cause a broadcast storm. Use a single uplink unless the network is deliberately designed otherwise.
The switch does not issue IP addresses. A router or other DHCP server normally provides addressing and internet access.

Standards, negotiation and operating roles
Verified Ethernet standards: IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3x.
Auto MDI/MDIX allows ordinary straight-through Ethernet cables; a special crossover cable is not normally required.
Full- and half-duplex negotiation depends on the connected device, although modern Gigabit links operate full duplex.
Exact India material lists support for frames up to 9K. Every device across a jumbo-frame path must use compatible settings; the feature does not accelerate ordinary internet traffic by itself.
This is an unmanaged Layer-2 switch. There is no administration page, app, configurable VLAN, traffic shaping, link aggregation or router mode.
Ceiling, not a promise
A port, radio or USB label is a signalling ceiling. Real performance depends on the complete path, protocol overhead, local conditions and the devices at both ends.

Setup and usability guidance
- Place the switch on a stable, ventilated surface and confirm the supplied power adapter matches the local outlet.
- Connect the 5V power supply and check the Power LED.
- Connect a router LAN port or upstream switch to any RJ45 port using a known-good Ethernet cable.
- Connect each local wired device to another port. The corresponding Link/Act LED should illuminate.
- Check the negotiated link speed in the connected computer, router or device interface; the LED alone does not prove a 1Gbps link.
- If a port negotiates at 100Mbps, replace the cable and test the device directly before changing network settings.

Driver and operating-system guidance
The switch is a stand-alone Ethernet device and does not install an operating-system driver.
The connected computer or USB Ethernet adapter may still require its own network driver. That requirement belongs to the endpoint, not to this switch.
No mobile app, browser setup or firmware configuration is required for normal unmanaged switching.
IP addressing, DNS, parental controls, firewall rules and Wi-Fi settings remain functions of the router or other network equipment.
Driver discipline
Match the exact SKU, chipset, operating-system version and CPU architecture. A driver for a similar enclosure can be incompatible with the hardware inside.
