Up to 24-bit/96kHz digital recording
The CM769 combines a 14mm condenser capsule with a maximum 24-bit/96kHz USB audio format. This gives recording software more digital resolution for speech, commentary, streaming and voiceover work.
Software setting required: Windows, macOS, OBS and other applications may initially select a lower sample rate. Choose the required format in the operating-system and recording-app audio settings when 24-bit/96kHz operation is needed.
Cardioid pickup focuses on the speaker
The directional cardioid pattern is most sensitive to sound arriving from the front. Position the UGREEN logo towards your mouth and place keyboards, computer fans and other noise sources behind the microphone where possible.
A cardioid microphone reduces sensitivity to sound from the rear, but does not completely remove background noise. The distance from your voice, microphone gain, room acoustics and noise-source positioning remain important.

Seven onboard RGB lighting modes
The circular light ring adds visual colour to gaming, streaming and recording setups. Available effects include static single colours, animated single-colour effects and a multicolour dynamic effect.
RGB selection is controlled directly from the microphone using the mode button and multifunction knob. The listing does not indicate motherboard, app or third-party RGB ecosystem synchronisation.

Short-press the front mode button to move between microphone, headphone and RGB control modes. Check the corresponding indicator before rotating the multifunction knob.
Touch mute and selectable noise control
Tap the touch-sensitive control on top of the microphone to mute or unmute the input without creating the mechanical click of a conventional switch. The light briefly displays a mute-status colour for visual confirmation.
Pressing and holding the top control for approximately two seconds toggles the onboard noise-control mode. Noise processing may help in some environments, but it can also alter the natural character of a voice. Compare recordings with the feature on and off before an important session.
Direct wired-headphone monitoring
Connect compatible wired headphones to the microphone's 3.5mm output to hear your input directly. This helps you check microphone position, voice level, plosives and unwanted room noise while recording.
- Use wired headphones for monitoring; Bluetooth headphones do not connect to the microphone's 3.5mm port.
- Select the UGREEN microphone as both input and output when your computer should route playback through its headphone jack.
- Disable duplicate software monitoring if you hear an echo or delayed second copy of your voice.
- The 3.5mm connection is intended for headphones, not an external loudspeaker system.

Connect by USB, then select “UGREEN USB MIC-CM769” as the recording input and, if required, playback device.

Choose the microphone under Sound Input. Select it under Output when using headphones connected to the microphone.

Recording expectation: microphones cannot compensate completely for a noisy or echoing room. For more natural results, use a quiet space, position the microphone close enough to the speaker and reduce gain rather than recording from across the room.
Quick setup
- Place the microphone on a stable desk and angle the UGREEN logo towards your mouth.
- Connect the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable between the microphone and host device.
- Select “UGREEN USB MIC-CM769” as the input device in the operating system.
- Select the same microphone inside OBS, Discord, Zoom, recording software or the game being used.
- Speak at normal volume from approximately 20–40cm away.
- Adjust microphone gain while watching the application's input meter.

Simple gain-setting guide
- Set the microphone to input-control mode using the front mode button.
- Speak at the loudest level expected during normal use.
- Raise the gain until the voice is clearly visible on the software meter.
- Reduce gain if the meter reaches red, clips or sounds distorted.
- Move closer before adding excessive gain; this generally improves the voice-to-room-noise ratio.
Desktop stand and optional threaded mounting
The included weighted desktop base provides a ready-to-use setup, while the adjustable yoke lets you tilt the microphone towards the speaker.
A standard 3/8-inch threaded interface allows installation on compatible external microphone stands or boom arms. Boom arm, shock mount and external pop filter are not included.
Care and operating guidance
- Do not tap, strike or drop the microphone; condenser capsules are sensitive components.
- Keep liquids, condensation and excessive humidity away from the grille and USB port.
- Do not blow directly into the capsule to test it.
- Keep the USB cable away from sharp bends, chair wheels and stretched positions.
- Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning; do not spray cleaner onto the microphone.
- Disconnect and store it in a cool, dry location when unused for extended periods.

No. It contains its own USB audio conversion and connects directly to a supported USB host.
Does it have an XLR output?
No. This is a digital USB microphone and cannot connect to an XLR input without an unsupported conversion arrangement.

No. The microphone requires a wired USB data and power connection.
Which side should I speak into?

Why is my recording not showing 96kHz?
The operating system or application may have selected a lower default format. Choose the required sample rate in both system and recording-software settings where available.
Can I connect speakers to the headphone port?
The 3.5mm output is intended for compatible wired headphones. External speaker operation is not listed as supported.
Can it be mounted on a boom arm?
Yes, using a compatible 3/8-inch threaded microphone mount. The boom arm and any required shock mount are sold separately.
